Where Are You Investing?
We all invest somewhere, and I’m not talking about financial investing.
I’m talking about investing our time, love, attention, effort, focus, etc. We all invest time into something or someone, we all invest love into something or someone, we invest our attention, our effort, and so on.
“Just like investing money, we invest ourselves hoping for some sort of return”
Some of us engulf ourselves in our career, we invest our efforts in hopes that climbing the corporate ladder is our return.
Parents invest love into their children hoping the return on that love is raising good kids.
Entrepreneurs invest heart into a business hoping to get a return in more ways than one.
We are all investing something every second of the day.
I’m investing time and creativity in writing this blog hoping for a return on my reach. To reach someone and change their mindset, to reach someone and brighten their day.
WE ARE ALWAYS INVESTING! Sitting on the couch and watching soap operas is still investing.
The question is, are you investing in something that will give you a positive return?
Watching 8 hours of TV probably won’t give you a positive return. Reading books that don't interest you probably won't give you a positive return.
