“Reaping Is Reserved For The Planters.”
~Jim Rohn
Are you planting? Are you doing things today that will prove success tomorrow? Are you achieving small steps of success this month to set you up for next month? What are you planting today that you can harvest later?
Planting now means harvest later.
IT’'S NOT INSTANT!
We are all planting something. It doesn’t matter if we are striving for a better career, building a business, homeschooling our kids, washing our car, reading a book, or any other number of action items. We plant the seed and water it until it grows. Some seeds grow faster than others, but none of them grow to full maturity instantly. Growth takes time.
Take responsibility for what you sow.
GOOD AND BAD!
Some seeds won’t grow. It’s not what happens to us, rather what we do with what happens. We have no problem showing up and claiming success, but we always seem to shy away from owning our failures.
We have a tendency to blame something or someone for our shortcomings.
There are many reasons why seeds won't grow:
Lack of rain
Bad soil
Taken by the birds
Bad seeds, and so on.
It’s up to us to own this fact and keep pushing on. This is called PERSEVERANCE - The ability to strive forward in the face of difficulty.
We learn more from our failures than from our successes.
DON’T SHY AWAY FROM YOUR FAILURES, EMBRACE THEM.
Failure is inevitable. It’s going to happen. Some birds will take your seeds,! But the only way you truly fail is if you quit.
At the start of your journey you wished to be where you are right now.
SO WHY WOULD YOU QUIT NOW?
Plant more seeds, KEEP GROWING!!!
If you quit, you have to start again at square one.
Some days you wont feel like pushing forward, some days will seem dark and difficult, some days may not seem like a win, but you reap what you sow.
I’m not a religious person but the bible says “If you keep knocking you will find an open door.”
In short, DON’T QUIT. KEEP KNOCKING. KEEP SOWING. KEEP GROWING.
I listened to a seminar a while back and the opening question was, “How tall does a tree grow?”
People in the audience gave all kinds of answers. The speaker reeled everyone in when he gave his answer, “As big as it can.”
